Method
- Peel the ripe red bananas and cut them into slices.
- Freeze the banana slices for about 4 hours until firm.
- Remove the frozen banana slices from the freezer and let them thaw slightly for a few minutes. Then add them into a blender jar.
- Add honey and blend again for a few seconds.
- Transfer the mixture into a freezer-safe bowl and spread evenly.
- Freeze overnight or for at least 8 hours.
- Scoop the frozen banana ice cream into serving bowls and top with chopped nuts before serving.
Notes
Use fully ripe red bananas for best sweetness and creamy texture.
Do not add water while blending.
Honey can be reduced or skipped depending on sweetness of bananas.
Let the ice cream rest outside for 3–5 minutes before scooping.
